NUTRITION

Food and the energy it provides is the building block of health.  When used in a therapeutic manner it can reverse disease, decrease inflammation, and truly serve to help the body heal and achieve homeostasis.  When the diet is not appropriate, it leads to imbalance and inflammation in the body. Dr. Fraser advocates for a whole food diet – raw, home cooked, or a minimally processed commercial diet.  She is trained to nutritionally balance home cooked and raw diets to ensure optimal health of her patients. She is also experienced in utilizing therapeutic ketogenic diets.

Dear friends,

I am so excited to be able to offer a very individualized, holistic approach to veterinary medicine.  From my first acupuncture class in the fall of 2012, I knew it was an invaluable approach to healing. It rebalances our pets to give them ideal health and quality of life.

When my son had a severe reaction to penicillin several years ago, I became interested in a more holistic approach to medicine. Since 2009, my family has focused on alternative methods of healing ailments and on cultivating strong immune systems. I wanted very much to do this for my veterinary patients! The opportunity came when the Chi Institute brought a day-long acupuncture seminar to Baltimore. That day changed my professional life and how I think about veterinary medicine.

I am amazed on a daily basis how well our pets respond to acupuncture and other natural modalities.  The more I learn, the more excited I get about what the future could hold for my patients. I look forward to sharing the principles of integrative/holistic veterinary medicine with you as we work together to give our special dogs and cats the balanced, ideal lives they deserve.
